Change colours for widgets

How do I change the chart type?

Resolution path:

  • Validate account and plan details.Styling and changes can be made to widgets only from (older) Garden plan and above and (current)Pro plan and above.

  • Based on the type of visualization, the options available for customizing would differ. Freshworks Analytics automatically picks the best visualisation for your data set but if you'd like to change it, use the dropdown to choose your preferred type. For more details, please check - https://support.freshworks.com/en/support/solutions/articles/50000001117-visualisations-in-analytics

To change the visualization, click on the below option while hovering over the widget

The various chart options would show up when there is a Group by filter mentioned. In case it is a time-based filter in the first Group by (eg: Day of the week, Month of the Year) it would show Line chart. In other cases if the time based filter is mentioned second, this Line chart option would not show up.

Alternatively, you can expand the widget and change visualization from the drop-down as well.

  • If the customer has the ability to change styling of widgets or the page, this can be done by clicking on Style icon when on the Page to style the Page.

Similarly, the widget has to be clicked to modify the widget styling.

  • The first section can be used to change the chart/table colours, followed by setting up conditional-based formatting. If there are issues with the unit used and conditions, make sure it is in sync. A good way to go about this would be to try a similar setup in your test account and understand the behaviour prior to providing solution to the customer.

Eg: The customer wants to show the bar in red if it crosses more than 1 hour. The condition should be set based on the unit of the metric. Here, since the time is calculated in hours format the conditional formatting cannot be applied based on seconds. Hence here that should be followed as well.

    Solution:
Note: Currently when we group by two different filters, Analytics allows us to only choose colour palettes for one of these filters and not both. This is a feature request.
