NAT IP whitelisting is only needed when the customer have any firewall restrictions and accepts requests only from known IP ranges.
In case the customer has firewall restrictions, it is required to whitelist the IP's for the below scenarios,
- you're triggering webhooks to an external API endpoint from Freshdesk
- you have a custom app that connects an external application with Freshdesk
- you're using a custom mail server for fetching and delivering emails.
