Bulk update of customer/ company field value(s)

Possible Query:

1. I want to bulk update the contact field values. How can I achieve this?

2. I want to bulk update my company field values. How can I achieve this?

Resolution Path:

There are 2 ways using which the customer can bulk update the contact and company field values. They are as follows:

• Import functionality
• APIs

Import functionality

-> The customer can navigate to the Contacts or Companies tab and click on the Export button on the top right corner of the screen. Screenshot for reference:

-> Once the contact/company details are exported, the customer can make use of the exported file as the base file, update the contact/company field values to the contacts/companies they want, and save the file.

-> As a last step, they can make use of the Import button and import the contacts into their Freshdesk account. All the details will be updated as per the modifications done in the file. You can also share this link that explains the steps in detail.

APIs

-> The customer can execute a script from their end by triggering the update a contact API call/ update a company API call to bulk update the contact/company field values.
