Missing API key

1. I am unable to find my API key


Resolution Path


1. API key is available on all paid plans of Freshdesk. For Free customers, API is not a supported feature so the API key feature under profile settings will not be available.

2. Please refer to this article for questions like Where do I find my API key?

3. If the customer is trialing a higher plan from their free plan, then they should be able to find the API key.

4. If not available, raise an L2 ticket.

5. For any paid accounts which report issues with the API key not being available, open the account in Freshops using the account ID or URL(find account ID and URL)

6. Click on features and search for the feature code api_v2 is available.

7. If not available, raise a L2 ticket.

8. If available, the customer should definitely see API key and if still not visible despite the feature enabled, raise a L2 ticket.
